In the context of the Open European Societies project, an Intercultural Storytelling Workshop took place in Aarhus (Denmark) on March 6th, 2019, facilitated by Matthias Stephan, from the Centre for Studies in Otherness. Through the creation of an individual character, and then interacting with each other, 9 participants had the opportunity to develop a common story so as to get better at understanding others, and themselves.
All the participants provided their creativity, their willingness to listen to others, and their own individual perspective. In the end, they were pleased to be part of an open and interactive dialogue setting that gave them the chance to express themselves and hear each other. After all, this workshop was about building a community, learning from our differences and, most important, sharing our thoughts and feelings.
